Dubrovnik

Airport: Dubrovnik International Airport

Dubrovnik is a historical city in Croatia with a population of approximately 50,000 people. It is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Balkans and the whole of Europe – a city of rich history and culture, a gorgeous beach town known for its Old City region, recognized as a World Heritage site by UNESCO. The Old City of Dubrovnik is also its main attraction, with medieval architecture and a varied cultural heritage influenced by the Roman Empire, Byzantium and the Renaissance. It is so beautiful in fact, that it actually served as a set for many well-known movies and TV series, among them A Game of Thrones (Season 6) and Robin Hood Prince of Thieves (1991). The Old City has been very well preserved, and includes many historical buildings such as the Romanesque Church Stolna Crkva sv Lovre, the Franjevački Samostan Cathedral, the Franciscan Monastery Sv. Vlaho, the Dominican Monastery, and more. Visitors can tour the area on foot on their own, or join one of the tours available by local guides.

Dubrovnik’s history began in the 7th century, when it was built by the Ancient Greeks. It was under the rule of many different empires over the years, including the Byzantine, Venetian and Ottoman empires. The city was heavily bombed during World War II, but its lovely walls and fortresses survived, and so did the Gothic churches, the Renaissance palaces and Venetian towers that make it so photogenic. It also offers museums, art galleries, restaurants and modern shops you can hang out in, and has hotels suitable for every budget. Dubrovnik is home to many cultural events such as film festivals and concerts that take place all through the year. The city’s climate is very mild, with an average temperature of around 18 degrees centigrade.

Dubrovnik is a financial and economic center that is a perfect destination for businesspeople. The city has many important financial institutions and business hotels, as well as a booming economy. It offers many opportunities for entrepreneurs because of its strategic location and proximity to other European countries such as Italy, France and Germany. This makes it ideal for international entrepreneurs who wish to expand their business to new markets. The city is a favorite location for business conferences, and has attracted many real estate investors over the past few years because of its many investment opportunities for both residential and commercial purposes.
