Larnaca

Airport: The Larnaca International Airport

Larnaca is one of the oldest cities in the world, around 6000 years old. The city is suitable for visiting couples and families with children of all ages. In it you’ll find the Lucky Star amusement park, the lovely Foinikoudes Palms Promenade along the coast of the Mediterranean, restaurants serving traditional Cypriot food, whose main attraction is the famous Haloumi cheese.

Other than lying on the beach in the sun, you can also take a tour to nearby sites surrounding the city such as the pink salt lake, home to thousands of flamingos; the Saint Lazarus Church or the Ayia Faneromeni Church; the Camels Park; the Larnaca Fortress or the great Ocean Aquarium. Dive in a submarine to the sunken ship Zenobia, visit the Fishermen’s Wharf and its fish market, and in Europe square, take a peek into alluring art galleries.

Many investors and businesspeople also arrive at Larnaca and purchase properties in it for short and long-term rental. The city is experiencing a building and development boom, but the prices of properties in it are relatively low, from 100,000 EU. There are also luxury properties to buy near the coast for much higher prices, but such that are still worth your while. Profits on real estate in the country verge on 10%, which explains investors’ enthusiasm. Other reasons for it are the facts that the Cypriots are very nice to foreigners, speak good English, there are many tourists that look for short-term accommodation in the city and the fact that Cyprus doesn’t lay high taxes on properties in the country.
