Ljubljana

Airport: Ljubljana Jože Pučnik International Airport

Ljubljana, Slovenia’s capital city, is a magical, relatively small city which mingles diverse cultural sources from the East and West of Europe with historical relics from the Middle Ages, museums, art galleries, parks, lively markets, festivals, modern restaurants and cafes. The past and the present live in it side by side, and it isn’t rare to see ancient castles and fortresses right next to brand new shopping malls that, by the way, offer very affordable shopping opportunities. The city’s traditional architecture includes mosaic-decorated houses, magnificent fountains, bridges on the river that passes through the city, picturesque narrow alleys and paved streets.

Ljubljana is a major cultural center that features many museums, art galleries, theatres and shows, classical and modern music, etc. The city is also a university town, with many students living in it and enjoying themselves at the city’s squares, restaurants and cafes. You can walk along the river or sail on it, visit the big Tivoli Park, the city’s zoo, shop at the flea market and then grab a bite and rest in one of Ljubljana’s wonderful restaurants. If you visit the city with children, don’t forget to take them to the city’s fun water park. For a more romantic holiday, visit the Bishop’s Palace, the Ljubljana Castle, the St. Nicholas Cathedral, the Preseren Square and the Triple Bridge. The old Rivers Fountain awaits you in front of the City Hall, built just before the Renaissance period. If you love markets, the covered market of the Pillars Bridge will be interesting to visit. The city also has a colorful fruit and flowers market worth visiting if you have the time.

Ljubljana also appeals to real estate investors, with luxury properties for purchase under 300,000 dollars. In 2015, Slovenia started reducing the tax load on investments and sales of properties in the country and has been attracting many investors from all over the world ever since. Slovenia is a constantly growing market and continues to plan new development and construction projects to meet local needs and the growing tourism stream. In Ljubljana you can always find new and interesting projects to invest in, profitable real estate, friendly business partners who speak good English and government officials who try to help rather than interfere with any deal.
